I wear men's utility kilts. Announcing I'm a cross-dresser when I'm apparently wearing a skirt messes with some folks' minds. I wear them because they fit, and because they have huge pockets and I hate carrying purses. I dress more for what fits me than for what anyone else thinks is appropriate for me as a [insert role here].

Biology has made some roles easily possible (lactator, for example), while it's caused some other roles I enjoy to not be taken as seriously. The most annoying example is my mother-in-law dismissing some things as "guy things" when they're actually "geek things" and I'm a geek.

"Geek" is a core role.

"Purse-bearer" is something I put on and take off, and do so as rarely as I reasonably can. (Exceptions made for things like weddings and costume parties, to name the last three times I went out carrying a purse.)

wow that's so wierd, i changed from a boy into a girl and i started life as female. i woke up one day and thought "wow! i could wear a skirt! cool!" i'm just incredibly lucky i didn't have to do the physical transformation because the psychological one hurt plenty.

also i almost always speak in gender neutral if i can.
