Here are some interesting and inspiring things we’ve come across lately.
Hildy Gottlieb reviews The Usual Error
Our friend Hildy interviewed us about The Usual Error. She talks about how she applies it when talking with boards and also in her personal life. There’s a blog post and an audio interview right here.
A short story about ladders, boxes, and possibility
This story is beautiful and inspiring. It’s kind of like Cath Duncan‘s version of the Freak Revolution Manifesto.
Kyeli’s heretical thoughts on productivity
Kyeli and 35 other productive heretics share their advice in this post, 36 Secrets the Productivity Gurus Won’t Tell You (But Our Heretics Will), by Ali Hale and Thursday Bram.
Real life is broken; it’s up to game designers to fix it
We can learn a lot from successful games. Let’s figure out what makes people enjoy games so much, then apply it to the real world. Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world.
Fascinating and inspiring.
How great leaders inspire action
This TEDx talk by Simon Sinek was fodder for some great conversation between me and Kyeli about why we’re so passionate about the Freak Revolution, and why people resonate with what we have to say. It explains what Apple, the Wright Brothers, and Martin Luther King all have in common.
…and you?
What’s new with you? Anything you’d like to share with us?

Have you read the Connection Manifesto? It tells the story of why there is so much hurt and sadness in the world, and how we can heal through connection.

Great round-up of resources. Great interview – and I am biased but the those productivity gurus are some smart folk :)

36 Secrets the Productivity Gurus Won’t Tell You (But Our Heretics Will) is a cool article, all freaking trillion examples listed there, lol.
I tell you – that Simon Sinek, he’s going to be the next Seth Godin, he’s grrreat.
Check out his blog, it’s as inspiring as his videos

The link for the ladders and boxes story is broken. :(
whoa. whoa. Kyeli, i just had the pen and paper revelation a few days ago. Somehow, it’s DIFFERENT when i have to physically write things down. And hell YEAH to that crossing off feeling. I love the “to-do” and “could do” idea, i was trying to figure that one out today i think!
I’m working on handstand (see my blog at http://www.evolutionaryoga.com), and writing an article about being a fat yoga teacher for elephantjournal.com. Two seriously terrifying undertakings. Oh, and getting out fliers for my sliding-scale private yoga lessons. That one is less terrifying.
Love!
@Andy: Fixed it. Sorry it took me so long! I was sick and not checking my email. (And sorry to Cath as well)
