Drop everything and follow your heart.

by Pace and Kyeli on May 11, 2009

We’ve posted videos before, but this is, by far, the most important one. Freaky and revolutionary, in this episode, we reveal our big secret.

Have you read the Connection Manifesto? It tells the story of why there is so much hurt and sadness in the world, and how we can heal through connection.

“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.” –Joe Ancis

The world is eternally subject to change. It takes more effort to keep things exactly the way they are now than it does to let them change! What you can do is try to make changes happen that benefit as many people as possible, and I hope that is your goal. Best wishes with it.

You guys are awesome.

Kyeli – that dissonance you talked about sums up so beautifully the very thing I’ve been feeling (and resisting) for the last *mumble mumble way too many* years.

I’m so excited to be a part of this space where people can feel safe to follow their hearts and stop fighting the dissonance!

Fuck it all, Victoria, that’s literally exactly what I was going to say. I was going to come in here and be like, “You guys are awesome.” But now if I do that I look like some kind of follower poseur. Dude.

But still, you guys are awesome.

The only thing that bums me out about some (not all!) of the things you guys post is that some of the things you guys suggest is AWESOME (in all caps, srsly), but that as much as I wish I could do those things myself, I can’t.

Why? It’s fear, sure, but it’s not fear of a concept, like change… It’s that a lot of these things I’ve actually tried, and I got very, very hurt in the process. Blew up in my face, really. Like, dropping everything to do what I need to do for myself. I’ve done that… three times in my life? Health wise, it was literally do or die. I ended up in the ER once before I figured out that the stress I was under was literally killing me. Time to change something, and I knew exactly what… but the world isn’t just made of individuals. It’s also made of groups. The rest of the people in my group have decided that my decision was the Wrong Thing To Do, despite the fact that my alternative was literally death. So instead of being able to drop what I was doing, and doing something else, I dropped what I had to drop, and was then blocked completely from doing what I needed to do. Unfortunately, one can’t drop one’s friends and family, especially when one depends on them for support physically, financially, and or emotionally, and when there’d be nobody else left afterwards..

I cannot wait until I can find more freaks to fill my life with.
