This is sensible. :) I still speed on the highway, but carefully (as in, never had a speeding ticket in my life!) and try to be patient with people who are slowing me down.

(The patience with people slowing me down happened after a time I was stuck behind a pickup truck going 1 mile below the speed limit in the left lane, a minivan was matching its pace and not letting anyone pass in the right lane, and my fuming turning to amusement when a bit of smoke from the pickup truck wafted back and I became aware the the driver was not smoking tobacco! That changed the situation from annoying to amusing right there. And, well, driving 1 mile below the speed limit if you are smoking something other than tobacco with a used police car right behind you seems to be a valid response to that situation!)

I hate driving so much that I drive pretty fast (though usually no more than 5 MPH above the speed limit) on highways because I want to finish the stupid drive already. Other than that, I usually follow what you've said! Usually, the faster I try to drive, the more stressful it is for me.

haha sharing this with my husband RIGHT NOW because you say it so much better than i do :)
i also like to think of getting stopped at red lights as a chance to stop and look around and take in the area that i normally don't see or reflect on a thought in running around in my head.
