What a great post!
I can relate to all that you and Elphaba share in common ! Even the green skin: http://people.tribe.net/leahs/photos/10a16a4b-abb0-4b9e-80f9-6617f664547d

To me what is so powerful about Elphaba's journey is that she learns to tune into and trust her own sense of what is right and wrong for her. I know that on my own journey, some of my biggest work has been to learn how to identify the places when I am buying into someone else's ( society, family, culture) idea of who and what I am supposed to be doing. I spent many years living a life that did not fit and feeling like it was a struggle and i was having to force myself into a box. Thank god I do not do that shit anymore!
I think the Happy ending comes from learning to easily ideantify when you are in alignment with yourself...and doing your thing...and when you are being pulled out of whack by someone else's ideas.

Rock on!

I haven't seen the musical but thought the book was fantastic.

Love that it's the official musical of the FR! (When I saw your Tweet, I rather thought you meant Kermit. But he's revolutionary in a quieter way.)

I've never seen Wicked nor heard what this musical was really about. My best friend is in love with it and has taken her music class (she's a teacher) to this in Chicago many times. I think I understand her a bit better now, knowing what the meaning of it is. Thanks for that!

Love. This. Song.

Listened to it a whole lot during a difficult transition last year where I found myself in Elphaba's spot.

Thanks you for this post.

Thank you so much for writing this beautiful post. It has brought tears to my eyes and has made me see that their are people out there that have had similar experiences and feelings. Together, we really are unlimited. Thanks again!

[...] Together, we are Unlimited by Kyeli at Freak Revolution: This is an awesome article that really relates to the Raw Foods Witch theme of being different… a witch in a mundane world. Now I just need to watch the Wicked musical. [...]
