It's so fantastic to get to a system that works, and works for what you're doing now vs. what you did 5 years ago.

I have a MS Word-based GTD next action sheet that any normal person would hate, but I love it. It's exactly the right thing for me. It was also handy when I worked in an office, as it was massively intimidating to other people.

"Sure, I can put your project on my [complete, all next actions for all contexts in my 8-5 existence] list."

(looking over shoulder at complex tangle in 5 different colors with notes, scribbles, priorities for the week, matrix of weekly repeated items like workouts, etc.) "Aw, geez, never mind."

Which, since it was based in reality, I didn't feel too bad about.

Hey, wonderful idea for on - screen collaboration.

I wanted to make your readers aware of a less complex wiki solution called TiddlyWiki which basically uses Javascript instead of a back end database.

And if you're looking to collaborate on text in real time, Mozilla Labs has Bespin.

Anyways, congrats on getting to Inbox Zero! I just do Unstarred -> Archive in Gmail.

I am a list addict, but have faced the same problem you encountered - the list is only useful if you look at it. So how do I remind myself to look at reminders? A lot of my scheduled tasks are also off-computer, so I just started using a very simple electronic-paper hybrid system. To remind myself of something on a specific day I use the calendar in the cellphone, which works even if the phone is switched off. The other method is to use the alarm on a digital watch to make me look at the list, and then reset it for the next scheduled task. Both are small enough to keep with me in my pocket. A countdown kitchen timer could also work for shorter time spans.
