Hmmm … I have tried a raw diet and loved it. =D Came up with some pretty cool Korean dishes using only raw ingredients… unfortunately, I also like pasta, steak, burritos and every imaginable food in the world, so I couldn’t keep it up.

Indeed! I think the enumerating of characteristics is awesome. :)

What I was thinking is…if I made a similar list (which I’ve tried to, but I always end up stuck on stuff like this!), I think that i’d be making the usual error if I said “someone who has their shit together” assuming that someone who had their shit together would agree with me that they had their shit together, and that someone who didn’t would also agree with me that they did not. Like, I have a whole bunch of friends who, if I asked them “Do you have your shit together?” they would say “no, of course not!”, but if you asked me “Does so-and-so have their shit together?” I would say “yeah, totally!” I think it’s kind of like the usual error…or at least, a subset of it.

@Oliver: When writing something like this, the usual error runs rampant. To take an extreme case, imagine if we just wrote “Someone who’s totally awesome.” Well, plenty of people consider themselves to be totally awesome by their definition, but not all of them are totally awesome by our definition. This whole enumerating-of-characteristics thing is an attempt to work around the usual error.

I failed to meet 3 of the criteria.

But, I don’t have to eat meat around people who would prefer to not be around the eating of meat. Dunno what to do about the entrepreneur part (just not happening for a long time for me), and I’m not TV-free, news-free or politics-free, but my life doesn’t revolve around any of those, more an interest in passing and concern about the impact each of those has on causes I’m interested in. (Mostly I read blogs about topics I’m interested in, and find out about news related to those interests and portrayals of people, real and fictional, on TV that I’m not bothering to watch myself.)
